This board is ideal for temporarily fixing problems when your machine starts resetting & there is no time to find the exact cause for a flaky/poor 5V supply.
Homepin doesn't suggest this board is a permanent repair for this type of resetting, but it certainly can help getting your machine running in minutes & also assist in trouble shooting towards a complete repair.
No harm will come to your machine if this board is left in place, it's just good electronic practice to eventually fix the original cause of the poor 5V supply.
To install this board, simply unplugthe connector at the J210 position on the machine's MPU board (with the power turned off, of course) & insert this reset board inline; re-plugging the J210 connector into the top of this board. That's it!
This Homepin version includes a small digital voltmeter so you can see the voltage at a glance, without reaching for multimeters. It also verifies the voltage supplied to the MPU is correct & stable.
