This display can be damaged if it is not installed correctly. Pinball machines that originally used a plasma DMD display also use a high power display board. If this red LED DMD is connected to a high power board it will cause permanent damage to the display.

This LED DMD display uses advanced single segment technology; a vast improvement when compared to the segmented *cube* LED displays the above machines originally used. This display is slightly smaller than the original display, but once it is installed this slight difference is not noticeable. The full images/animations do display on the screen.
If you are replacing a ColorDMD, your machine may no longer have the red display shield installed. If this is the case, you will need to order one from the link provided at the bottom of this page. Be sure to note whether your machine has a wooden or metal speaker panel. The different speaker panels require different display shields.
Please note: Actual display is a bright, deep red color. It is simply impossible to get a good picture of this display that is representative of how it looks in person!
