The original Stern board has optos that are riveted to the PCB. These optos tend to fail over time, & they are a PITA to replace!
This newly redesigned replacement board connects the optos to the PCB using standard hardware. This makes any future repairs much easier.
The red & green LEDs on this new board indicate whether the board is working correctly or not; the red LED indicates the emitter LED is operational & the green LED indicates when the optos are blocked/open. This makes troubleshooting a breeze!
